The challenge this week for Sunday Stills is Toys. Hmmm....Ed has us thinking this week! There's so many toys I have fond memories of. Unfortunately, most of those are nicely packed up in storage. Backup plan -- my husband's toys.
While he has some in the miniature size...bigger is definitely better for these toys. Just look for the telltale sign--
Or maybe just anything that's green and yellow!

Traveling as much as I do during the week, I get to see a lot of the state. Frequent stops include parks and that means lots of beautiful scenery. I've also been able to catch some photos of creatures of all sizes the past couple of weeks.
I thought I'd start off my "Wildlife Wednesday" with this family I came across last week. The pictures aren't the best, but those little guys sure can move fast! And momma was thrilled about me stopping to get pictures of her growing brood. Aren't they cute though?

The challenge this week for Sunday Stills -- Textures. An interesting challenge. There are so many different kinds of textures around us!
Since I'm out looking at trees all week, I decided to stick with bark. Here are a few photos that I liked the best.
Head over to Sunday Stills for more challenge photos.

Where does the time go? It's already Thursday. It's been a jammed-packed week at work (even with the rain). Luckily since it rained Tuesday night, the softball game was canceled and I got to go home and relax. Its the last week of softball for the girls team I coach. Depending on how things go in the tournament this weekend, there's 3-5 games left. I'll be ready to have my evening back.
We spent the 4th of July weekend with family and friends. Three cookouts in three days -- we've had enough potato and macaroni salad to last us for awhile. But it was a great time even if the fireworks were postponed until Sunday night. And I'll admit, I was just too darned tired to deal with the crowds that night.
Enjoy some photos from our fun-filled weekend.

A little behind on the blogging, but with the holiday weekend, we took a couple of extra days off of work to relax and get some things done around the house.
Thursday afternoon we were able to head over to Kickapoo State Park for a little bit of fishing. The weather was great, the scenery was beautiful.....
but the fish weren't exactly biting!
